Highlights:
A few decades ago, Amsterdam was the international destination for American backpackers - with recreational marijuana, a boisterous red light district and flower power everywhere.
While the city still attracts young people, those backpackers are now returning with their families to enjoy the countryside, the great art and the culture. Who says you can’t go back?
