Welcome to the middle east
There is a tendency to think of the Middle East in terms of conflict and insoluble problems and, indeed, there are many places that we would not recommend visiting based not only on safety concerns but a lack of interesting sights and quality infrastructure. There are, however countries in that expanded region that combine both interesting sights and world class infrastructure. In our middle east we offer both Israel and Jordan since they collaborate on tourism and they have much to offer, especially those focused on both Judaism and Christianity in addition to Islam. It was in Mount Nebo, today’s Jordan, where Moses was allowed to see but not enter the Promised Land. Today you can do both. Another resurgent area is the combination of oil rich entities known as the Gulf States that have used their wealth and geographic positioning to be major players in international air travel with their capital cities as hubs. This, in turn, has made the islands of the Indian Ocean into a more viable destination for North American travelers with a productive stopover in the Gulf. Welcome to our Middle East.
