.Day 1: USA-Dubai
You board your aircraft for the flight to Dubai and the beginning of your unique Arabian holiday.
Day 2: Arrival in Dubai
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your deluxe hotel located on a man-made island known as “The Palm”. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: The City and the Desert
Dubai is a city that seemingly changes every day but there is still some of “old” Dubai if you look for it. Your guide will take you to the spice market, the gold souk and the Bastakiya area with its traditional wind-towered houses. You will also see the modern skyline including a ride to the top of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. In the evening you will be taken out to the desert where your skilled driver will take you through the dunes as the sun begins to set. Visit a Bedouin campsite where you can enjoy camel riding and a BBQ buffet before returning to the bright lights of the city.

Day 4: The Private Oasis of Al Ain
Today you leave Dubai and drive to Al Ain which is the fourth largest city in the UAE. It sits on the eastern border of Oman and is known as the garden city with its charming desert oasis. The camel market adds to the allure as does the museum dedicated to the Bedouin people. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Al Ain.

Day 5: Khassab and a Mountain Safari
Today you will drive to Khassab on the panoramic coastal road overlooking the Gulf of Arabia and the Straits of Hormuz. After checking in to your hotel you have time for lunch before departing on a mountain safari to Jebel Harim the highest peak of the Musandam Peninsula at a little over 6,000 feet. You will enjoy views of the Hajjar Mountains and then visit an old Bedouin village and Khalidiya Park where you stop at Khor Nadj Mountains to view the Indian Ocean. Dinner is at your hotel this evening.

Day 6: The Fjords of Musandam
In the morning you transfer to Khassab Harbour where you board a dhow for a full day cruise in the spectacular Fjords of Musandam. The dhow will anchor at Telegraph Island where you can swim and snorkel in the clear waters. Lunch will be served on board. After lunch you will have more free time for swimming and snorkelling before returning to Khassab.

Day 7: The Drive to Muscat
In the morning you will be picked up for a drive to Muscat the capital of Oman. During your drive you will view the Straits of Hormuz which separates Oman from Iran. You stop for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Muscat you check into your hotel. This evening is left open but Muscat has many diverse restaurants including a Trader Vic’s conveniently located in your hote.l

Day 8: A Tour of Muscat
After breakfast you meet your guide who will take you on a tour of the city starting with the Grand Mosque. You then visit the Muttrah Souk a traditional Omani market offering a wide range of goods including Frankincense, the Omani curved dagger called a Khanjar and the fashion famous “pashmina” shawls. A visit to the Bait Al Zubair museum displays Omani traditions such as national dress and jewelry. Finish up with a chance to view the Sultan’s Palace surrounded by Mirani and Jalali, two forts built by the Portuguese in the 16th Century.

Day 9: Muscat by the Sea
In the morning you will be picked up and taken to the port where you board a boat for a coastal cruise. Oman is home to a variety of dolphins and wale species with the spinner and bottle nose dolphins being the most common. You will get the chance to see them leap from the water in their natural environment and also the chance to view the city from the sea. Return to the hotel for lunch and then enjoy some free time at the beach.

Day 10: Nizwa and the Al Hoota Caves
Today you will leave Muscat and drive to Nizwa in the Omani Desert. Your first stop will be the Nizwa Fort, strategically built on a hill to protect the village below with its colorful domes and bustling market. After dropping off your luggage at the hotel, you will visit Misfah a typical Omani village. The village has a falaj system built around terraces that allow the growing of fruits without a large supply of water. After lunch you will visit the impressive Al Hoota Caves which will exceed all your expectations. Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 11: Jabreen, Bahla and Tanuf
After breakfast you will drive to Jabreen Castle the finest of Oman’s castles. It was built in the late 17th Century and became a seat of Omani education and learning. The castle is noted for its intricate wood carvings and ornate painted ceilings. After lunch at a local restaurant you stop for a photo op. at Bahia fort the first Omani fort built in the Islamic site. You also visit the Tanuf Ruins before being driven to the airport in Muscat airport. You will fly to Dubai or Abu Dhabi to connect with your US bound overnight flight. Breakfast and Lunch
Day 12: Arrival in the USA
You arrive back in the USA in the morning.
