Day 1: USA-Denmark
In the evening you board your aircraft for an overnight flight to Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen.
Day 2: Welcome to Denmark
Upon arrival in Copenhagen you will be met by one of our drivers and taken to your elegant hotel where you have the rest of the day to relax. In the evening enjoy Scandinavian and French culinary refinement at Restaurant Marchal.

Day 3: Historic Highlights of Copenhagen
After breakfast you meet your guide for a morning panoramic tour of the splendors of the city including Town Hall Square, Parliament, Naval Church, Royal Theatre, Nyhavn, and the harbour with the world-famous statue of the Little Mermaid. You finish your tour with a guided tour of Amalienborg, the Royal Castle with four identical palaces set around an octagonal courtyard. You then visit Torvehallerne, the city’s largest food market where you sample Danish smorgasbord with schnapps and Danish Marzipans all from different stands. You then drive to Roskilde to visit the Viking Ship Museum and a guided tour of Roskilde Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century and the burial site of Danish Monarchs since the 15th Century.

Day 4: Castles and Art in the Danish Countryside
In the morning your guide will meet you and take you outside the city to North Zealand and Elsinore to visit Kronborg castle dating back to the 15th Century and immortalized in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. Stop for lunch Gamle Humblebaek Kro a genuine Danish inn featuring Danish lunchtime cuisine. After lunch you visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art the leading museum of modern art in Scandinavia. Upon arrival you will be taken to a private room for some sparkling wine while an art expert from the museum gives an introduction to the museum. You return to Copenhagen along the old coastal road known for its luxurious villas and pleasant beaches. In the evening you will dine at Restaurant Nimb Brasserie located in Tivoli Gardens the world-famous amusement park that was founded in 1843 and was the inspiration for Disneyland.

Day 5: Copenhagen to Oslo
Today you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Norway’s Capital, Oslo. Upon arrival you are met and driven to your deluxe hotel. In the afternoon a guide will meet you and give you a panoramic tour of the city including Frogner Park the home of the sculptures’ of Gustav Vigeland, the new opera house, Parliament, the National Gallery and the city’s main street Karl Gustav leading to the Royal Palace. The tour concluded with a private visit to Oslo city hall where the Noble Peace Prizes are awarded. In the evening you will dine at the Michelin-starred Restaurant Statholdergaarden which serves Norwegian cuisine in a townhouse dating back to 1640.

Day 6: From Ships to Ski Jumps
After breakfast you will be taken to the Bygdoy Peninsula to visit the Fram Museum to see the strongest wooden ship evet built. It holds the record for sailing farthest North and farthest South. You will also see the Gjoa in which Roald Amundsen traversed the Northwest Passage. Another famous Norwegian Explorer is Thor Heyerdahl and you will see his raft Kon-Tiki that was sailed from South America to the Polynesian islands. For lunch you stop at the Grand Café, a favorite venue since 1894. Finish the day at Holmenkollen Oslo’s major ski area since the late 19th Century. See the famous ski jump and the panoramic views of Oslo.

Day 7: Oslo to Stockholm
In the morning you will be driven to the airport for the flight to Sweden and its Capital, Stockholm. Upon arrival you will be met by one of our drivers and taken to your hotel. After a chance to have lunch you will be met and taken on a tour of the city including old town with Stockholm Cathedral, the Royal Castle, Stockholm City Hall, the Royal Opera and Stockholm Concert Hall. Finish your tour at the Vasa Museum which holds a 17th Century battleship that sank on its maiden voyage. This evening dine in elegant surroundings at Restaurant Operakallaren.

Day 8: Culture and Contrasts
Your first visit today will be to Drottningholm Palace which is located on the island of Lovon in Lake Malaren west of Stockholm. This is the residence of the Royal Family. You will get a tour by a curator of the State apartments, the Palace Gardens the Chinese Pavilion and the Court Theatre. You then head back to Stockholm for a seafood lunch at Restaurant B.A.R. offering innovative Swedish cooking. In the afternoon you will visit the upscale and bohemian Sodermalm district with its exclusive Swedish design shops, featuring brands from well-known designers to emerging talents. The tour is highlighted by a special visit to the gem of Swedish interior design, Svenskt Tenn with the offering of refreshments and introductions.

Day 9: Return to USA
In the morning you will be met by your driver and taken to the airport for a return flight to the USA arriving back the same afternoon.
