Day 1: Depart USA
Today you depart for the airport and the overnight flight to Geneva.
Day 2: Geneva Arrival
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative who will escort you to your car which will take you to your hotel which sits on the lake front looking directly at the jet d’eau the famous fountain.
Day 3: Geneva, Present and Past
Enjoy breakfast on the terrace and then meet your guide for a walking tour of Geneva today and in days gone by. Walk along the lakefront promenade crossing the Rhone River as you enter the shopping area. Stop to taste some delicious Swiss chocolate and then follow your guide into the old town of the city with its cobblestone streets. Admire Saint Peter’s Cathedral, Place Neuve and the Town Hall. Your guide can suggest some places in old town where you may want to have lunch before a leisurely walk back to your hotel.

Day 4: Geneva-Lausanne-Bern
In the morning, your driver will be waiting to take you to the Capital of Switzerland, Bern. On the way you can stop in Lausanne which also sits on the shores of Lake Geneva and is home to both the Olympic Committee and the Olympic Museum which you can visit. Upon arrival at your hotel in Bern you have time for lunch (perhaps on the hotel’s rooftop lounge) before meeting your guide for a walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage city.

Day 5: The Jungfrau, and the Lauterbrunnen Valley
You meet your guide for an exciting Alpine adventure combining snow-capped mountain peaks and flower filled valleys. You board a cogwheel train that will take you up the slopes of the Jungfrau to the “Top of Europe” which provides breathtaking vistas in all directions. Take some time for lunch or a quick snack followed by a light hike around the peak. You then descend to Lauterbrunnen into what is referred to as the “valley of the waterfalls” of which the Staubbach Falls is both the most impressive and, as such, the most famous. Take time to wander through the village of Wengen before returning to Bern. After dinner you can check your main luggage with the front desk and it will be on its way to your hotel in Interlaken.

Day 6: Bern to Interlaken
With your luggage already on its way, you have a leisurely breakfast and then you take a two minute walk to the station where 1st Class seats are reserved to Interlaken. A short (but scenic) train ride brings you to the resort town of Interlaken. As its name suggests it sits between two lakes and in the shadow of Alpine peaks. After being reunited with your luggage you have time for lunch at your iconic hotel which has been a world class resort since the Civil War ended in America. In the afternoon, take a leisurely carriage ride as part of your sightseeing in the town.

Day 7: Bond…James Bond
Today you will be driven to Murren where you board a combination of cable cars that will take you to the top of Mt. Schilthorn which sits at 7,000 feet. You have the chance to have drinks and lunch at Piz Gloria the futuristic building that served as Blofeld’s Headquarters in the James Bond film “On her Majesty’s Secret Service”. Return to Interlaken where you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel including a world class spa.

Day 8: Interlaken to Lucerne
You will be picked up at the hotel and driven to the station for the train to Lucerne. As in other cities your luggage went ahead and is waiting in your room at the hotel. You are met by your guide who will take you to a nice place in old town for a light lunch before embarking on a walking tour of the old town of Lucerne and the lake front with its famous covered bridge. You will then be delivered to your hotel ( 2019 Swiss Hotel of the Year) located up the mountainside and offering spectacular views of the town, lake and mountains either during the day or illuminated at night. You will share these views at dinner this evening.

Day 9: A Scenic Lake Cruise and Alpine Memories
In the morning you will be transferred to the pier where you board a classic Lake steamer for a leisurely cruise on Lake Lucerne. You arrive at the resort town of Vitznau where you board the cogwheel railway which will take you to the top of Mt. Rigi offering a chance to relax and enjoy the snow-capped peaks. When you are ready to leave you take a cable car to Weggis where you board another steamer back to the dock where a driver will bring you back to the hotel. Tonight you can enjoy a tasting menu with appropriate wines as you toast your elegant adventure in Switzerland.

Day 10: Return to USA
After breakfast you will be driven to the airport in Zurich for your return flight to the USA.
