Day 1: Depart USA
Board your aircraft in the evening for the overnight flight to Barcelona Capital of the Catalan region.
Day 2: Arrival in Barcelona
You will arrive in Barcelona late in the morning and one of our drivers will be waiting to take you to your hotel which is located on one of the most prestigious streets in the city. The rest of the day is left open for you to relax. We will provide a list of recommended restaurants for our stay ranging from Tapas Bars to Michelin starred.
Day 3: The Gothic Quarter, Picasso Museum and Boqueria Market
After breakfast you meet your guide for a private tour of the Gothic Quarter parts of which date back to Roman times. The name however comes from the Gothic Cathedral located in among the warren of narrow roads. Despite its name, the area is home to a lot of “of the moment’ boutiques and nightspots. It is also the location of the Picasso Museum which you will visit. Exiting the Gothic quarter you cross the street and enter Boqueria Market the city’s best known food market. After giving you a highlight tour your guide will leave you at Pinnochio where you can enjoy Tapas and Cava.

Day 4: The Gaudi Legacy
Today your guide will meet you and by car and on foot show you the many buildings that bear the mark of Antoni Gaudi. He designed private homes, office buildings, amusement parks and department store; most of which are still in use today. Two, in fact, are on the same street as your hotel. Your main emphasis will be on La Sagrada Familia his unfinished masterpiece. Started at the end of the 19th Century, there are still cranes surrounding the cathedral towers. In the evening you will join your guide for a tapas crawl through some of the trendiest areas of the city.

Day 5: Cavas and Canapes
This morning you will be picked up at the hotel and taken out to the countryside to a family-run winery that has been cultivating vines for over two thousand years. You will taste four different wines accompanied by a variety of Tapas. You will then board an open top Land Rover for a ride though the vines along with the winemaker. You then visit another winery that specializes in Cava, the Spanish equivalent of Champagne. As before you will have four glasses of different types of Cava along with complimentary tapas. After your visit you are driven back to the city.

Day 6: Flight to Ibiza
After you have had breakfast, a car will be waiting to take you to the airport for the flight to Ibiza which will take about an hour. Upon arrival you are met by our driver who will take you on an orientation tour through the city down town and around the “Dalt Vila” (literally high town), a walled area that stands high on the rock overlooking the bay. You then drive to your resort which is about 20 minutes’ drive from the city center.

Day 7: Day at Leisure
Your resort is designed for relaxation so take advantage of the pool, the spa or the beach. Build up reserves for some nightlife in town in the evening.

Day 8: A Cruise to Formentera
After breakfast you will be transferred to the port where you board a boat for the ride to the sister island of Formentera, one of the last unspoiled paradise islands in the Mediterranean. Enjoy the crystal clear waters and the chance to each lunch at Juan y Andrea located on Illetes Beach voted by Trip Advisor as number 7 beach in the world and number 1 in Europe. Go for the lobster! Return to Ibiza and transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: The North Side of the Island
In the morning your guide will meet you and take you to the less developed north side of the island where you learn about the flora and fauna of the island and hear stories about the changes in Ibiza over the years. You will stop for lunch at a “cala” on the beach before returning to your hotel. This evening we will recommend some special restaurants for dinner.

Day 10: Return to USA
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to the mainland connecting with your flight to the USA.
