Customizable Itinerary - 10 Days (from $4,392 / person)
Day 1: USA-Lima
You arrive in Lima. Most flights arrive in the late afternoon and early evening. You will be met and taken to your Relais Et Chateaux hotel located in the “of the moment” neighborhood of Barranco. If you are hungry, the hotel offers a selection of ‘small plates” blending Peruvian and Mediterranean touches.
Day 2: Historical Lima
After breakfast you meet up with your guide for a tour of the historical heart of Lima including a visit to the Cathedral and the convent of San Francisco. After your tour, your guide will take to Calla Restaurant for lunch. Your afternoon is at leisure although we do recommend visiting the Larco Museum. We will provide a list of recommended restaurants for dinner. (Fusion cuisine combining Peruvian and Japanese is very popular based on a large Japanese immigrant population).

Day 3: Contemporary Lima
Today your guide will take you to the modern residential areas like Miraflores and San Isidro. This will be a great opportunity for shopping and to search out the location of several of the restaurants we will have provided to you. Finish your tour with lunch at Maido.

Day 4: Cusco and Aguas Calientes
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the station at Ollantaytambo where 1st Class seats will be reserved for the ninety minute journey to Aguas Caliente. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel where you can relax and adjust to the altitude.

Day 5: The Lost City Redux
Today your will have a private guide to take you through portions of the Lost City of Machu Picchu in the morning and then return in the afternoon for a visit to other parts of the complex. During the two visits you will gain a greater understanding of why it was built and how it avoided being detected and captured by the Spanish. Discuss your findings over dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Poroy – Cusco – Piura – Mancora
In the morning you are transferred to the station where you take a Vistadome train up to Poroy where you are met and transferred to the airport for a flight, via Lima, to Piura on the Northern Coast of Peru. You are met taken to your contemporary hotel where an ocean front view, a refreshing dip in the ocean and dinner await you.

Days 7 & 8: Days of Leisure or Opportunity
You have two full days to laze on the beach, get a treatment at the spa or take a cooking class. Further away you can go fishing with a skilled crew to pursue wahoo and Yellow Fin Tuna. The beach offers the chance to surf up to it or ride a horse through the surf. It is your time and your choice so take advantage of both.

Day 9: Time to Go
Enjoy a last dip in the ocean, catching a last wave or lingering over breakfast. Later you will be transferred to Piura where you can fly to Lima or Guayaquil in Ecuador to connect with a plane bound for home.
