Day 1: Depart USA
This evening you head to the airport for the flight to Ireland.
Day 2: Arrival in Ireland
Upon arrival in Dublin you clear customs and immigration and meet your driver who will take you to your hotel where you have a chance to relax and freshen up. In the evening you have dinner and then are entertained by music and storytelling at Ireland’s oldest pub.

Day 3: A private Tour of Dublin
After a Full Irish Breakfast you meet your guide who will be taking you on a tour of the highlights of the city. To make it more fun for everyone we will use a double decker bus with an open top so your guide can point out things along the way as you move from one major sight to the other. A fun lunch adds to the adventure.

Day 4: Belfast and the Titanic
In the morning your guide will pick you up for the drive north into Northern Ireland and its capital Belfast. For many years, Belfast was an industrial powerhouse with one of the largest companies being shipbuilders Harland and Woolf. It was at their ship yard that Titanic and her sister ship were built. On the site where the ship was built a major interactive exhibition has been created that gives you the chance to experience the building of the ship, her fateful voyage and the aftermath. This will be of interest to all parties and age groups. On the way back you will stop at the Giant’s Causeway and possibly some locations from Game of Thrones if that is of interest.

Day 5: Where great thoroughbreds are born
After breakfast, your guide will be waiting to take you out of the city and into the Irish countryside. It has been said that the Irish have a love affair with the Irish and horse racing has a love affair with the Irish. Today you will see this for yourself as you visit the town of Naas which is surrounded by three major race tracks. Your nest stop will be The National stud where great thoroughbreds are born. You will tour the facility including The Museum of the Horse before having lunch and heading to the fishing village of Kinsale where your harbor-front hotel awaits.

Day 6: The Harbour and the Queenstown Experience
In recent years, Kinsale has become known by foodies as the place to enjoy great seafood. Many fishermen’s cottages are now restaurants as a result. There is still a fishing industry however and in the morning you will take a cruise of the picturesque harbour where you are likely to see seals sunbathing on the rocks. In the afternoon you will be taken to Cobh (pronounced Cove) which used to be called Queenstown until Trish independence from Britain. As Queenstown it was the port where Irish emigrants left from on their way to the New World. Passenger ships would leave Liverpool and sail to Queenstown to pick up passengers before heading out to the Atlantic. At the Heritage centre you get to understand the experience particularly on the Titanic. The entrance ticket has the name of the 386 people who boarded in Queenstown at the end you check your ticket to see how the journey ended for you. After the visit return to Kinsale and have dinner overlooking the harbour.

Day 7: Exploring Killarney
After breakfast your guide will take you to the charming town of Killarney. Arriving at Ross castle you meet up with a local guide who will start your tour in a traditional open boat through the three Lakes of Killarney passing by Innisfallen Island, Bricin Bridge and Torc Mountain. You finish at a local cottage restaurant where you have lunch. You then meet up with your “Jarvey” which is the title given to the drivers of the Irish Jaunting car. More than a driver they are a both a guide and storyteller who will take you through the Gap of Dunloe filling you in on the history and gossip of Killarney over the ages returning you to town in late afternoon. Your centrally located hotel makes it easy to find a good place to eat or visit a singing pub for authentic Irish music.

Day 8: The Ring of Kerry
Today you enjoy a scenic tour around the Ring of Kerry which will be highlighted by a private sheep dog demonstration put on by a local farmer. Your journey involves a 100 mile circular journey through some of Kerry’s most outstanding scenery. During your day you will travel through Killorglin to Glenbeigh where you get your first view of the Atlantic. Stopping for lunch at a scenic spot you continue on to Kenmare. In your way back to Killarney you get superb views of the lakes from Molly’s Gap and Ladies View before arriving back in Killarney.

Day 9: The Cliffs of Moher
Ireland’s Atlantic Coast faces America and the tourist authorities have now named it “The wild Atlantic Way” i ranges from Killarney up to Galway but one of the most inspiring sights is the Cliffs of Moher, a six miles stretch of white cliffs reaching as high as 642 feet. As you stop to enjoy the view you will be able to see the Aran Islands which are one of the few Gaelicht or Gaelic speaking areas in Ireland today. Stop in the quaint village of Doolin for the chance to have lunch and then continue to Dromoland Castle, your home for the next three nights. With an extraordinary history stretching back to the 5th Century, Dromoland Castle was originally the ancestral home of one of the few families of Gaelic Royalty; direct descendants of Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland.

Day 10: A Day at Dromoland
You have the whole day to enjoy the many activities of interest to all ages. For the younger members there is a Tennis Academy, Go Karting, Pony and Trap Rides and bicycles for all sizes. There is also the pool and sailing on the lakes. For older guests there is a tournament class golf course and a luxuriant spa. We can reserve certain activities as part of the booking process.

Day 11: Bunratty Folk Park and Castle
As your stay in Ireland winds down, you will spend the afternoon and evening at nearby Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Start your visit at the Folk Park which is a reconstruction of a typical Irish village in the 18th Century complete with Irish wolfhounds, Donkeys and the local constable. There is also a fully-licensed Pub named MacFarlane’s. In the early evening you enter the great hall of the castle for a four curse meal accompanied by music, singing and Irish dancing. Yu will then be transferred back to your castle to get set for the departure in the morning.

Day 12: Return Home
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to the United States where you arrive back the same afternoon.
