Day 1: Depart USA
This evening you board your aircraft for the overnight flight to Paris to begin your journey into haute couture and the simple beauty of an elegant stay in the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.
Day 2: Welcome to Paris and Le Marais
Upon arrival in Paris one of our drivers will meet you and take you to Le Maris, the oldest neighborhood in Paris but ironically the most contemporary. Meet you guide at the hotel and walk off the jet lag as your guide takes you on a tour of Place des Vosges considered to be the most beautiful squares in Europe with its colonnade serving as a home to a variety of art galleries. At one time the centre of Jewish life, Le Marais is, today, the heart of the LGBTQ community. Return to the hotel to freshen up and enjoy lunch at the hotel’s intimate restaurant. In the afternoon your guide will show you other areas of Le Marais. The evening is at leisure.

Day 3: A History of Design
After breakfast, your knowledgeable guide will be waiting to take you through the timeline on design. Your first stop will be at the Louvre and its inspiring Pyramid entrance. The Museum of Decorative Arts has its own wing and features a legacy collection from designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Cristobal Balenciaga and Christian Dior. Stop for decadent hot chocolate and Angelina’s across from the Louvre and then make your way to Palais Galleria with a focus on Chanel. Take some time for lunch and then make your way to the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum which was his workshop and the office of his business and life Partner Pierre Berge. Here you will find sketches dating back fifty years. There are a myriad of restaurants in Le Marais to choose from.

Day 4: Contemporary Fashion from Ateliers to Department Stores
From the fashion of yesterday to the fashion of today, your guide will take you to some of the main boutique shopping areas on Avenue Montaigne, Rue Fauburg Saint Honore and selected ateliers who provide the materials to the design houses. You then move to Boulevard Haussmann where two world famous department stores are located. Your first stop will be Galeries Lafayette where you have lunch and then explore the many designer boutiques. Move down the street to Printemps to view their specialties. This evening let us reserve a table for you at Jules Verne located on the 2nd Level of the Eiffel Tower. Breakfast
Day 5: Welcome to Marrakesh
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Marrakesh. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and taken to the hotel to check in. You will have lunch and then visit the Marrakesh edition of the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum. You will then board a horse drawn carriage and visit Majorelle Gardens now full restored thanks to Yves Saint-Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge. Visit Villa Oasis which was their vacation home and part of the gardens but now a museum on Berber Culture. Return to your hotel, which was a favorite of Sir Winston Churchill.

Day 6: The Medina and Jemma el-Fna
Today you will explore the Berber portion of the city. Set against the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh is Morocco’s second oldest majestic imperial city. In the morning you will see the ancient Bahia Palace from the days of the harem, the Royal Saadian Tombs and the Koutubia Mosque and Minaret. You will stop for lunch and then visit the old medina built in the 9th Century and home to the souks where bargains abound. In the evening you will have dinner at a restaurant and then your guide will take you through Jemma el-Fna Square where Berber acrobats, fortune tellers and mischievous monkeys perform.

Day 7: To the Foothills of the Atlas Mountains
After breakfast you leave Marrakesh with your driver and head to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival you check into your elegant Kasbah resort (Kasbah means a fortified village but this is obviously well beyond that) where you have the afternoon to relax by the pool, do a trek to the nearby village of Asni and try an authentic Moroccan Hamman at the spa. Enjoy an a la carte dinner with wine in your new home.

Day 8: Mount Toubkal and the Ourika Valley
Today you have the opportunity to take a drive to the Ourika Valley with your own private guide. During your adventure you will see the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal and spend time in a Berber village.

Day 9: Learning the Berber Life
Today you can immerse yourself in Berber culture without traveling a long distance from the Kasbah. You will begin your guided journey on mules which will take you to a Berber village. In one of the homes you will learn the Berber way of bread making and combine with a cooking lesson which creates a meal that you enjoy with the family.

Day 10: Return to USA
After breakfast you are transferred to the airport in Marrakesh for your return trip to the USA where you arrive back the same afternoon.
