Day 1: USA-Brazil
You board a morning flight to take you south to Sao Paulo the commercial and fashion capital of Brazil. Upon landing, one of our drivers will meet you and take you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: The “chic” City of Brazil
While Rio gets all the press, it is Sao Paulo that is the commercial and fashion of Brazil much like Milan is in Italy. You meet your guide for an overview of the city including its commercial centre. Most of the time however will be spent in the fashion area where boutiques blossom with worldwide brands and home grown talent. Keep in the stylish mood as you enjoy a late lunch.

Day 3: From the Boutiques to the Amazon
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Alta Floresta airport at the edge of the Amazon. You will be met and transferred to the river where a boat will take you on a journey back in time as you enter a primordial world. Your resort, while offering all amenities is accessible only by boat and leaves a very small footprint within its environment. It is the top rated Ecolodge in South America by National Geographic Traveler. The Lodge is located beside the River Cristalino, within a private forest reserve in the southern part of the Brazilian Amazon region. It has been carefully designed to integrate harmoniously with the surrounding jungle, so that guests can enjoy the accommodations and community areas in an exotic yet comfortable environment that caters to their needs, with a cozy bed, refreshing baths, a soothing hammock, and every convenience close at hand. The bar, with an inviting log fire burning in the middle of its riverside deck, provides a view of the night sky full of stars, while the restaurant complements the experience by serving delicious candlelight dinners. Days 4-6: Amazon Immersion
During three full days you will learn a lot about the Amazon ecosystem. A little over 18 miles of trails allow you to explore a variety of ecosystems on guided half day walks with a chance to refresh back at the lodge in between. Another option is a canoe trip through the Amazonian tributaries. Another option is a session of yoga to start the day. Two viewing towers located in the reserve allow you to view the various levels of activity up to 150 feet where you overlook the tops of the trees with Macaws and other colorful birds in free flight above and around you.

Day 7: From the Amazon to the Pantanal
Today you leave for the Pantanal. Your connecting flight will bring you to Cuiaba, the capital of the Mata Grosso. You will be met and transferred to your eco Lodge located in the Pantanal, the largest flood plain on earth. Upon arrival you have a chance to relax, take a dip in the pool and learn about all the adventures open to you in the days ahead.

Days 8 & 9: Exploring the Pantanal
Your eco lodge is located in an area that allows access to the floodplain through a series of elevated walkways, boats and on horseback. You are also close to natural forests for you to explore and a large observation tower to view the bird life above the canopy. The Pantanal is home to 698 species of birds, 80 species of mammals, 26 of fish and 50 of reptiles. You will have a choice of guided visits in both the morning and afternoon.

Day 10: From the Floodplains to the Ocean
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Rio. Upon arrival you are met by one of our drivers and taken to Ipanema where your hotel overlooks iconic Ipanema Beach. Walk to the beach or take the elevator to the 8th floor where you enjoy an infinity pool looking out to the water and Corcovado. In the evening dine at Fasano al Mare, the hotel’s noted seafood restaurant and reflecting the Italian roots of the hotel’s owner.

Day 11: Highlights of Rio
Your first visit today will be the world famous Pao de Acocar also known as Sugarloaf which has become one of two iconic symbols of Rio and attracting over 1,000,000 visitors a year. To reach the summit you take two separate cable cars, enjoying the view as you ascend. You arrive at the peak which is stands 1,200 feet above sea level and offers 360 degree views of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana beaches, Corcovado and downtown Rio. After enjoying the view you are taken to a Churrascaria where endless supplies of meat, poultry and seafood arrive at your table having been cooked on a barbecue. Many of the options are carved directly on to your plate. After lunch you visit the other main sights, one of the most recognizable in the world. Located atop Corcovado Hill, the statue of Christ the Redeemer looks down with arms stretched across all of Rio. Reaching the statue is also fun as your board a train for a trip through one of the few rainforests in an urban location. You are returned to your hotel for a free evening.

Day 12: Farewell to Rio
After a relaxing breakfast you are transferred to the airport for a return flight to the USA.
