Day 1: USA-Brazil
You board a morning flight to take you south to Sao Paulo the commercial and fashion capital of Brazil. Upon landing, one of our drivers will meet you and take you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: A Change in Venue, a Change in Time
In the morning you will return to the airport for a flight to Alta Fioresta airport at the edge of the Amazon. You will be met and transferred to the river where a boat will take you on a journey back in time as you enter a primordial world. Your resort, while offering all amenities is accessible only by boat and leaves a very small footprint within its environment. It is the top rated Ecolodge in South America by National Geographic Traveler. Enjoy drinks on an open deck with an open fire pit before dining on locally sourced food. Retire to your room prepared for the adventure ahead.
Days 3-5: Amazon Immersion
During three full days you will learn a lot about the Amazon ecosystem. A little over 18 miles of trails allow you to explore a variety of ecosystems on guided half day walks with a chance to refresh back at the lodge in between. Another option is a canoe trip through the Amazonian tributaries. Two viewing towers located in the reserve allow you to view the various levels of activity up to 150 feet where you overlook the tops of the trees with Macaws and other colorful birds in free flight above and around you.
Day 6: Florianopolis and the Coast of Santa Caterina
Enjoy your final breakfast overlooking the rain forest then begin your boat journey down the Amazon to Alta Fioresta airport where you board a flight for Florianopolis. Upon arrival you will be met by a guide who will take you to your resort located on the Santa Caterina Coast. After a chance to explore your villa you have a wide variety of dining locales to choose from.
Days 7-9: Relaxing at Porto Dos Ganchos
You have three days to enjoy the personalized attention at this unique resort. Situated on a small point nestled between two charming fishing villages, the resort offers the personalized service of a guest house with the sophisticated amenities of a five star hotel. Every wish is met and even anticipated whether that is a visit to the spa, exploring the walking trails, paddleboarding or canoeing. In between you have a choice of places to dine either with others or just the two of you. As a result, your three days of relaxation will, regrettably, seem fleeting as you absorb all the amenities.
