Day 1: Depart USA
You board your aircraft for the overnight flight to the “Paris of the South”, Buenos Aires, home of the Tango, resting place of Evita, and capital of Argentina.
Day 2: Welcome to Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you are met by your guide and escorted to your car which will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or stroll through the interesting neighborhood. We will be happy to make dinner recommendations.
Day 3: The Best of B.A.
Buenos Aires is an elegant and cosmopolitan city with European flavor and a friendly atmosphere. You will get to see quite a bit of it today accompanied by your personal guide. You will start with the monumental highlights like the main square, Plaza de Mayo with its neo-classical Cathedral, colonial town hall and the Presidential Palace, the “Casa Rosada” which Juan and Eva Peron once inhabited. You then continue to the old neighborhood of San Telmo with its narrow cobblestone streets; La Boca with is multicolor tin houses, the elegant Barrio Norte neighborhood, and Palermo with its wonderful parks and gardens, monuments and magnificent mansions. After a leisurely lunch you have the rest of the afternoon fee for some shopping or a visit to one of the many art galleries. In the evening your guide will be waiting to take you back to San Telmo where you have dinner. After dinner you cross the cobblestone street into the most authentic tango venue in Buenos Aires. Here you will enjoy VIP seating for an authentic Tango performance, the best in the city.

Day 4: Buenos Aires to Mendoza
After breakfast you will be met by one of our drivers and taken to the airport for a flight to Mendoza which is the heart of the Argentinian Wine Region. Upon arrival you are met and taken to your hotel where you have the rest of the day to relax. You may want to try the Spa or Hammam to ensure even more relaxation. If you like we can make reservations for the Asado (or Barbecue) featuring superb cuts of meat freshly grilled and served with wine from the vines nearby.

Day 5: Exploring the Central Valley
Today you will meet your guide for an exploration of the Central Valley which is the core of the Mendoza Wine Region. You will visit a variety of vineyards and tasting their wines. You will also stop at one winery where you have lunch along with the wine. After a day’s exploration and tasting you return to “your” vineyard for the evening.

Day 6: Discovering the Uco Valley
Today you will spend another day exploring the wines of Mendoza. You will focus on the Uco Valley known for its wines created from the Malbec grape although other gapes are also present. As before, you will visit a variety of vineyards stopping at one for lunch. Enjoy your final evening at your vineyard resort.

Day 7: Mendoza to El Calafate
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your vessel which will be your home for the next two nights. The ship will set sail at 6:30PM and while you enjoy cocktails and dinner the ship will be making its way to Aleman Bay where you will anchor overnight.

Day 8: Spegazzini and Uppsala Glaciers
After breakfast you will disembark in the area of Puerto de Vacas for a short walk. Later, navigation continues towards the Spegazzini Glacier in all its splendor with the sun reflected on its tall ice walls. You have lunch as you observe the glacier. After lunch the ship sets sail towards the massive Uppsala Glacier. The sight of the first icebergs indicates its proximity. This glacier is one of the largest in the National Park rising to a height of 4.4 miles. After your visit the ship cruises along the Seno Mayo, where you have dinner and overnight in Toro Bay.

Day 9: Perito Moreno Glacier
While you are having breakfast, the ship is sailing. You arrive at a point where you disembark and walk through the Andean Patagonia forest to a viewpoint from where both the Mayo and Negro glaciers can be observed. Return to the ship and cruise through the Iceberg Channel to reach the face of the Perito Moreno Glacier in an area where the glacier ends and calving can be observed. You enjoy lunch on the way back to Port. When you disembark you are met and transferred to the airport for a flight Iguazu Falls that sits between Argentina and Brazil. Your hotel is situated on the Argentinian side. Once settled in you enjoy dinner.

Days 10 & 11: The Falls and the Rain Forest
In addition to visiting the world famous falls, you will visit sights not seen by the vast majority of tourists. You will explore this unique Atlantic Rainforest with over 400 endemic species. This is the countryside featured in the movie “The Mission” with Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons and you will visit some Jesuit Ruins. You will also meet the friendly Guarani people who are indigenous to this area. All this exploring will build up an appetite so thankfully you have an excellent chef at this Relais et Chateaux property.

Day 12: Return to USA
In the late morning you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Buenos Aires where you connect to your return flight home that evening.
