Highlights:
Start at Lake Karibe the world’s largest man-made lake created in the 1950’s when the Zambezi River was dammed. It provides a 120 mile border between Zimbabwe and Zambia and offers abundant wildlife.
Next transfer to Hwange National Park, the country’s biggest reserve and home to a profusion of wildlife including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40,000 elephants. Your final stay will be at Thorntree River Lodge set in Mosi-Oa-Tunya-National Park. Translated as “The Smoke that Thunders” the park is accessible from both Zimbabwe and Zambia and is home to Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world. In addition to viewing the falls you can enjoy white water rafting, exciting bungee jumping and more sedate Sunset River Cruises.
