Day 1: Depart USA
You board your aircraft for the Virgin Australia flight to Sydney connecting in Los Angeles
Day 2: En route (Crossing the International Date Line)
Day 3: Sydney Arrival
You will arrive in Sydney in the evening where a car will be waiting to take you to your hotel overlooking Sydney Harbour. You will meet your daughters before retiring for the evening
Day 4: The Opera House and Botanical Gardens
In the morning you will be picked up and delivered to the Sydney Opera House for an unprecedented VIP backstage access to the opera house. Your personal guide will raise the curtain on what really goes on beyond the footlights. You will walk in the footsteps of legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Pavarotti, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Cate Blanchett and the Foo Fighters. You might even get to stand on the world famous Concert Hall stage, take up the conductor’s baton in the orchestra pit or get a sneak peek inside the stars’ dressing rooms. This intimate tour concludes with a hearty breakfast in the Green Room, the private haven of some of the world’s most famous artists. After some time for lunch you are transferred to the Royal Botanic Gardens where you meet your private Aboriginal tour guide to learn about the Cadigal people, the traditional owners of the Sydney area. You will forage and eat Australian Bush Foods as you walk and learn about the diverse history and culture of the Aboriginal people. Return to your hotel where we will supply you with a list of recommended restaurants

Day 5: Sea Life Aquarium, Taronga Zoo and Sydney Tower Eye
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sea Life aquarium where you have time to explore on your own. After lunch you will be transferred to Taronga Zoo where you join a small VIP group with a private guide who will introduce you to some of Australia’s wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and echidnas. Finish your day atop Sydney Tower, the city’s tallest building and offering spectacular 360 degree views of the harbour and the city

Day 6: A Day in the Blue Mountains
In the morning you are picked up at your hotel for a day in the Blue Mountains. You first stop will be Eureka Clearing located deep in the National Park. Here there is abundant wildlife to be found and it’s also home to wild kangaroos. While you wander around, your guide will prepare a morning tea or coffee along with some local delicacies. You then ascend the Blue Mountains to visit one of the lookouts in the Jamison Valley before moving on to Eaglehawk Lookout for views of the famous three sisters whose character changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Proceed to the village of Blackheath where you have lunch at the Hydro Majestic. After lunch you visit Govetts Leap one of the most famous lookouts in Australia whose waterfall drops 540 feet to the river below. From there you will travel to the western boundary of the park and descend into Hartley Vale. Packed with history you will also be looking for kangaroos, emus and other wildlife. Your last stop before returning to Sydney is the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens where you can view the ancient Wollemi Pine.

Day 7: Melbourne and a Tramcar Dinner
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the domestic airport for the flight to Melbourne. This sophisticated world city inspires a deep passion in those who live there. Ranked as one of the world’s most livable cities, Melbourne is known for its vibrant energy, restaurants, fashion boutiques, café-filled laneways, cool bars, unbeatable galleries, spacious parks and village-like inner suburbs, each with its own special character. Upon landing you are met and taken to your hotel which sits on the banks of the Yarra River amid alfresco cafes and restaurants. Take the afternoon to explore the neighborhood. In the evening you will enjoy what is guaranteed to be a highlight of your visit. You’ll be welcomed aboard a 1948 tram converted into a luxury restaurant where you enjoy a five course dinner, cooked on board and served by white-gloved waiters. As you dine you move through various areas like South Melbourne, St. Kilda, Prahran and Malvern looking out of your large one way window for privacy.

Day 8: The Great Ocean Road
After breakfast you meet your guide in the lobby and head out for a coastal tour. Stay on the lookout for whales, dolphins, echidnas and bandicoots. You will have time to stroll along the wild beaches or stop for a coffee at the famous Split Point Lighthouse and take in the incredible scenery. You will enjoy a traditional pub lunch at the tranquil seaside town of Apollo Bay, set amongst the soft rolling hills and long sandy beaches. You will enjoy exclusive access to ancient Eucalyptus Forest located at the Great Ocean ecolodge where you can have close encounters with koalas, kangaroos and native birds. As a guest you will be contributing to the conservation program to protect the local tiger quolls, koalas and unique flora of the region. A perfect day our will be capped by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

Day 9: The Vineyards of the Yarra Valley
In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel for a trip into the Yarra Valley one of Australia’s premier wine growing regions. Your first stop will be a winery run by the De Bortoli family. You will taste a selection of their award-wining wines served with local artisan chesses. Next you meet renowned winemaker Graeme Miller at Dixon Creeks Estate. He will be glad to answer any questions about the wine making process. From there you proceed to another vineyard for lunch with selected wines and superb vineyard valley views. After lunch you have one more stop at Coldstream Hills Winery for another cellar door tasting before being returned to your Melbourne hotel.

Day 10: Adelaide and Kangaroo Island
After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight to Adelaide. Here you will connect to a flight to Kingscote airport on Kangaroo Island (or KI as the inhabitants call it) KI is the third largest island in Australia and provides a natural habitat for a variety of indigenous animals plus fertile soil for organic farming. Upon arrival you will be transferred to tour elegant resort which is inclusive of all meals and activities with the exception of Spa treatments. Check into your suite and admire the water views leading all the way to Antarctica. Visit the bar for cocktails at sunset before enjoying a four course dinner with Australian (and some New Zealand) wines.

Days 11 & 12: Exploring Kangaroo Island
You have two full days to enjoy all that the island has to offer including the chance to do absolutely nothing. On you day of arrival the staff will work with you to craft a variety of signature experiences that meet your needs over the two days. It could include guided walks, an excursion to the landmark Remarkable Rocks, and a chance to encounter sea lions at Seal Bay and sunset canapes served among the wild kangaroos. You will also enjoy breakfast, a light lunch either a picnic or at the lodge and a gourmet dinner. All beverages are included during your stay.

In the morning you will be taken to the airport to fly to Adelaide and from there back to the USA where you arrive the same afternoon
